Welcome to the Hellertown Area Library!

For our patrons: 

• Cataloging Freeze beginning November 23rd  
• We will not be able to enter any new items into our catalog beginning November 23rd until we are fully on our new system on December 3rd.  This means no new titles will be available until we are able to enter them into the system after December 3rd. Please be patient during this process. 
• No interlibrary loan checkouts will be available until after we are on our new system. 
• We will stop taking interlibrary loan requests the week of November 9th until we are fully on our new system. 
• Patron/Transaction Freeze starting November 30th  until December 3rd.   
• No new patrons can be added into the system.   
• No items can be checked in.  
•  You may check items out BUT YOU MUST HAVE YOUR LIBRARY CARD. 

Effective April 27, 2026

All patrons will be receiving new library cards!

• Once you receive your new card, you must have it to checkout materials and attend programming (a photo of the barcode is also acceptable).
• When our new cataloguing system is in place, we will not be able to look up anyone by name.
• You will eventually need to update your card information on CloudLibrary and Kanopy. If you experience issues, please call the library at 610-838-8381
• Your new card allows access to all libraries participating in the ACCESSPA program.
• The new system will link our catalog to other libraries in the area, allowing us to participate in resource sharing with them, as well as email and text receipts and notifications!
